I think the Old Town is pretty. The streets are narrow and the houses and buildings are colorful and kind of crooked almost. There is one main shopping street which is always bustling with people but there really is a lot of charm here. I decided to head here because the weather was supposed to be nice and sunny. I think some one had made that prediction wrong because it was overcast but I tried to get some nice pics anyway.
The houses are very colorful and there are lots of small cafeés and coffee shops here.
They also have the old and beautiful kind of street lights and there are several old churches here. It is also from the Old Town that you reach the Royal Palace. If you leave the busy shopping street you very soon come to the more quiet parts that are also the residencial parts. The streets are equally narrow and the houses here are also crooked and kind of tilting in different directions. Doors and entrances are of course also real old.
This is the most narrow street in Stockholm. It is named Mårten Trotzigs Gränd. If you hold both your arms out then you can touch the walls on each side as you walk down or up this street.
This is not a picture of Old Town but a picture taken from Old Town part in the opposite direction towards the south part of Stockholm. Stockholm is a beautiful city with lots of charm and I love that it is surrounded by water. Even on a cloudy and overcast day like this there is still beauty to find.
