You will even find beef jerky. I am not a big fan of beef jerky but I like beans. There are plenty of other brands of beans but if you feel home sick or not confident buying a brand you don´t recognize you can still get the beans in the cans you are used to. For Thanksgivning dinner you can get your cranberry sauce in a can too.
Then we come to the sodas. We do have Dr Pepper here and some cherry coke it seems like. The BBQ sauce I may actually buy when I run out of the the stuff we packed into the container and brought with us. When we moved I did not want to throw away everything so I packed some things that I figured would stand differences in temperature. I brought some canned stuff and some BBQ sauce like the ones above but the Publix brand.
Then we got some of the very unhealthy American stuff also of course such as cereals with plenty of sugar and artificial color as well as the awful pop tarts. So if you crave a sweet and unhealthy breakfast you can get it here too.
There is the Aunt Jemima pancake mix. I have seen that there are also Swedish waffle mixes that probably contain the same ingredients but just is a different brand. I never buy mixes but prefer to make my own. The pumpkin puree I consider buying in the fall to bake with. It saves you time and is supposed to be just plain pumpkin that is mashed and canned. The other option is to buy a pumpkin and cook it first and mash it yourself but if you want a quicker version this is actually quite a good option. The blueberry filling I personally skip because I prefer less sugar in my stuff than most Americans would.
Finally we got the marshmellows so you can make s´mors in Sweden also after all. The only thing is that you will have to do them over a real camp fire as the majority of houses here don´t come with a fire place as in the US. The Swedish Santa knocks on the door and does not come in through the fire place. So now you know what to find and what to expect in Sweden when it comes to American goodies and goods. There used to be a an American store that sold only American products. But it has unfortunatley been removed.
