My weekend has been quiet but nice. I had not planned anything and also I felt I needed to get some quiet time. Time to rest, take it easy and hopefully cure that darn stubborn cough that I have had for weeks now. Sometimes it is just time to slow down and that felt like the right thing to do this weekend. I feel better now. It's been one of those foggy November weekends when all you want to do anyway is to curl up on the couch with warm cozy blanket, light some candles and watch a good movie or something.
Our friends borrowed our apartment when I was in Switzerland visiting C. They had given us this very nice book with lot's of fantastic and inspiring recipes. I have had a cozy weekend in the kitchen with my new book.
Lot's of yummy inspiration. When there is time I love to try out new recipes. Cooking I find can be both relaxing and fun. It is a nice way to be creative.
I have spent time with C across Skype. It feels kind of nerdy to have breakfast together via Skype but it is also nice in a way. I am very grateful for Skype. We had a glass of wine together saying cheers to one another through Skype Friday night.
The days are rapidly becoming shorter. The first signs of dusk are already there before 3 pm. I love to use a lot of different light sources dispersed here and there around the room instead of one big bright ceiling light source. Candles is something I light each evening now. I go through bag after bag of tee lights at this part of the year.
Today is Monday and I am looking forward to my German class this afternoon.
