She had a lot of courage I think as she decided to come all the way to Alabama to visit us together with my parents in 2009. Here she is sitting in Belling Grath Gardens of Mobile with C. Quite a journey and an adventure for someone that old to travel as far as to Alabama. She was so exited to come I remember. She was a person that seized the opportunities that life gave her when they came and lived life to a full extent. That is also the way I want to live my life.
She was always a lady. She was always well dressed and took very good care of her looks. She wore matching clothes and fine jewelry and always put make up on. Just because you are old you can still look good for your age she has taught me.
She made me laugh so much when she came to visit us. We were sitting outside on our porch having dinner when we started talking about my grandfather. She had never noticed he had large ears which was one of the most striking features of my grandfather.I just remember I laughed so much.
So even if Ingrid is no longer with us anymore. We will carry her memory with us and she has filled me with inspiration of how to live life. She had a long and full life. She passed away suddenly. In a way I think that is the best way to go. I am glad my brother got to visit her one last time because he was very close to her. In our memories and heart she will live on. God bless Ingrid.
