I love these days in between Christmas and New Years. What we call in Sweden the "in between days or Mellandagarna". Yesterday the sun was shining from a clear blue sky. I have missed the sunshine so much as December is such a dark month and when there is sunshine I am usually at work. Me and C headed out for a nice walk to Lövsta. This is not far from where my parents live and this is also my very favorite area to go for a run. This is where I had my favorite run the other day only I did not bring the camera with me then so I was glad I got the opportunity to head out here again and take some pictures. Pictures with the brand new camera!
I think Stockholm is fantastic in many ways as it is so easy to get out into nature and beautiful secluded spots like these as well as being able to get to the water. I love Stockholm for being surrounded by the bluest of waters.
It was still very windy. There was a storm the other day named Dagmar that passed us. The most severely hit areas were up north but as you can see the wind was still harsh whipping up quite some waves on the board walk here.
Passed this little quite birdhouse. The rosehip bushes look beautiful and so colorful.
I really love love love having some days off. Being able to just relax and do things like taking a simple but very nice walk. To me it is not necessary to travel somewhere or do something special. It is just a bliss and a luxury to be able to get out into the sunshine, to feel it on my face. To wake up and take my time and not having to rush out the door and hurry to work. To enjoy a nice and slow breakfast. To cuddle up on the couch and watch good movies in the evenings. To just do and have the freedom to do whatever I want to do. This is relaxation, this is pure happiness and bliss.
I am not particularly sad about not having a white Christmas. This is actually the warmest winter in 250 years I read yesterday. I think it is great. Yesterday it was about + 9 degrees C (approximately 50 F). So nice. Love it!
Today we are packing and getting ready to head north towards the snow for some skiing. This is the kind of way I love snow. I love it when I have time to enjoy it such as going skiing. I prefer going and travelling to where the snow is instead of having it come to my front step.
