I have a new secret Friday pleasure or treat that I indulge in. I have passed by this coffee shop so many times on my way to work (well I pass by it every morning as I am on my bike) and it has always looked so cozy and inviting. You feel the smell of coffee in the air which has also made me want to stop so many times. So finally during this summer I decided to stop and have a cup of coffee there. However, they had just closed for the summer so after my summer vacation in August about three Fridays ago I saw they were open again and this time I made sure I took the opportunity. I was not disappointed. The coffee was just as good as I ever imagined that it would be. Rich and with a creamy layer of foamy milk on top of my cappuchino. I love the small detail of the little heart that they create in the foam.
It seems to be two guys that own this place and it is always filled with people so it sure is popular. You can sit both inside or outside. I like the posters they have on the wall above the coffee machine. They are cool. This is just one of those great places that you fall in love with. The sandwiches, muffins and cardamom buns are just as delicious as the coffee. I have tried the sandwiches anyway and they are very good. They keep high quality here on everything. They sure got good stuff here ! So the place is called V.Street Coffee and is located on Vasagatan.
I am so glad I finally tooke the time and stopped by here. Many times it is about those small moments in life that give you so much pleasure. Sitting here sipping my coffee slowly looking at people passing on the street is a treat. Even if I don't sit here more than 10 to 15 minutes it is worth every single minute. Normally I would rush off to work thinking I don't have time for this. I think it is important to take the time and give yourself moments just like these. After all life is so much about those small quality things you do and give yourself.
It sure makes my Friday brighter and better. When I wake up I know I will soon get to one of my favorite places and start my day by sipping some real good coffee. So this has by now (three Fridays) become my new Friday treat and ritual.
Another place that I pass not far from my work place (around St.Eriksplan) is this small bakery called "Bakery and Spice". Many times during summer and fall they have the door open and you can sneak a peak at the bread loafs on the shelf rack cooling off.
HAVE A NICE WEEKEND!
